VK2RBT (VKDMR) remains online between primary sites at ER while getting a well earned cleanup. The repeater deck has been split from the battery box and re-housed in its own GIVI 30 litre motorcycle top box. All the power supply components stay in the original box. Lee has added some crucial components: a larger solar panel and two high gain cellular antennas. One of them is an enclosed yagi which hooking up to the first antenna port of the RUT240 and vaguely pointing out the window, yielded a 10dBm RSSI performance gain up to -61dBm. The other antenna, a mobile vertical antenna, is yet to be connected and tested into the second port of the RUT240. The repeater’s temporary location is still 732m above sea level at the northern end of Wyangala Dam with a corridor to the south.
