These are a cool little radio. Better than the IC-7000 in that it will deliver 100W on HF regardless of the power source. Not really as good as the IC-7000 if you want to mount the head locally to the main body of the radio. This is a remote head only rig. It includes 2m/70cm, a USB port and currently the only other Icom in their range that does HF/2/70 is the IC-705. The monochrome touchscreen works well and is a simple radio to use that follows the same logic as just about all Icom radios. I use this one currently in the mighty Triton but this unit was the first rig I set up at Eagle Rock for remote HF and it works very well as a remote radio. Another keeper.
